About the presenter
I am a PhD student and researcher in Deakin University’s amazing Marine Mapping team. I specialise in using novel approaches to environmental monitoring and assessment, and work with some pretty cool gadgets like drones and underwater video systems! My PhD research is focusing on the use of technology to assist with monitoring changes in the environment.
My passion for all things environment started early on and has allowed me to work on some amazing conservation projects internationally. I love sharing my enthusiasm for the environment with others and have been fortunate to be able to do so in leadership positions, teaching and training people from all around the world.
I thrive in dynamic, challenging environments, and have a thirst for knowledge. I am constantly enrolled in short courses and reading books on a range of subjects from astrophysics to history, while also trying to build on my knowledge of foreign languages and be creative whenever I can.
