About the presenter
My PhD research focuses on the connection between people and the environment, particularly within the marine context. I completed my Bachelor of Science majoring in Marine Science at the University of Queensland, and went on to study antibiotic resistance of fish pathogens for my honours. I am currently undertaking my PhD looking at managing subsistence-based fisheries in the Pacific for food security. I am passionate about science education and communication, and so my long term interests are in how we can better manage marine resources by engaging and communicating with local and stakeholders.
