About the presenter
I am an international student from Germany and currently in the final year of my PhD at the University of New South Wales. I enjoy participating in teaching programs for high school students and like to actively get involved in conservation, mostly through the Society for Conservation Biology. My research focusses on incorporating multifunctional eco-engineering designs into highly modified urban seascapes. I am particularly interested in rock pools, and how we can improve eco-engineering designs of artificial rock pools to enhance the diversity of artificial structures. I am using a combination of small and large-scale surveys and field experiments to provide rigorous scientific basis and testing of these designs.
